Israeli Media: Syria, Yemen Launch Strikes Near Occupied Golan Heights

(MENAFN) Two rockets fired from southern Syria landed in uninhabited zones near the Israeli-occupied Golan Heights, an Israeli public broadcaster, reported Tuesday evening.

As detailed by an Israeli newspaper, air raid sirens were triggered in the southern Golan Heights communities of Haspin and Ramat Magshimim.

“Details are being investigated,” the publication quoted an Israeli military spokesperson.

Shortly after the sirens, residents reported hearing explosions in the vicinity, according to media reports.

In response, Israeli forces launched artillery strikes targeting the origin points of the rocket fire, the outlet added.

In a separate incident, the Israeli military reported intercepting a missile launched from Yemen. The interception followed the activation of air raid alarms across several areas, including the Galilee region.

An Israeli broadcaster stated that warning sirens also sounded in Jerusalem, the Dan region, and Nof HaGalil.

Authorities confirmed that no injuries or structural damage resulted from either incident.
