Bus crash cause death of minimum of sixteen people in Indonesia

(MENAFN) A tragic bus accident in Indonesia’s Central Java province on Monday resulted in the deaths of at least 16 people, while 18 others sustained injuries, as stated by reports.

Authorities indicated that the passenger bus lost control after striking a road divider and subsequently overturned. The vehicle, carrying 34 passengers, was traveling from Jakarta, the nation’s capital, to Yogyakarta city, according to reports.

Those injured in the incident were promptly transported to nearby hospitals for medical attention.

Officials have attributed the crash to excessive speed as the primary cause.
